Ronald's Seafood is a lobster (called crawfish in the Bahamas) processing company which purchases crawfish tails during the Bahamian crawfish season (August through March) from private owners of crawfishing boats.
Over twenty processors then clip, clean and grade each crawfish tail. They are separated by individual ounce weight and packed into ten-pound boxes. Four boxes comprise one case. These cases are frozen until loaded for export.
Cargo vessels transport the forty-foot refrigerated containers of crawfish to Palm Beach, Florida, where they are distributed throughout the United States, Canada and Japan.
